Fitbit App software will not communicate with Fitbit Alta.
Therefore app searches for device and never communicated with Fitbit Alta.
Frustrating that I can't use the Fitbit.
On Fitbit screen it says Fitbit.com/setup
I've turned bluetooth on and off.
Ive got Fitbit charged and close to phone.
I've agreed to terms and conditions.
I've tried several times.
Any suggestions on how to use the Fitbit.
If it's not going to work, I will purchase another brand that does.

@CharlieBrown1 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I think that the following steps should definitely help you get back on track:
2. Reboot your iOS Device.
3. Open your iOS settings > turn off Bluetooth for 10 seconds > and then turn Bluetooth back on.
4. Use the replacement setup process to add your Alta to your already-existing account.
If steps 1-4 doesn't resolve the issue for some reason, I'd then recommend using the replacement setup instructions that are hyperlinked in step with either a different mobile device or on a computer.
Even if you set up your Alta using a different device, you'll still be able to sync it with your iPhone.
Let me know if this helps!

I have done all of that. Several times. My iphone says it has found the new fitbit alta tracker, but then it will stay stuck on connecting to tracker for hours without ever connecting.
Live chat was down, so was forced to send in an email to fitbit for help.
Will probably just return it...
