App becomes unusable during workout

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Launch the Fitbit app

2) start a workout

3) kill the app (either from the app switcher or by opening a lot of other memory-intensive apps like the camera, Maps, etc.)

4) relaunch the app

Symptoms:

- workout data is completely lost

- workout button on dashboard can’t be tapped

- can switch days and tap tab bar buttons at the bottom, but metric buttons (steps, floors, etc.) can’t be tapped

- can tap edit button, but can’t add modules

This reproduces on the current version of the Fitbit app on multiple different pieces of iPhone hardware on multiple versions of iOS 13, and is trivial to reproduce. It’s a bad bug that’s bitten me multiple times in the last month while running and it would be great to get Fitbit to acknowledge that they have a bug and plan to fix it!

And before all the “have you tried?” questions from the moderators (who are just doing their job, I know): yes, I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I have rebooted my device. These are temporary workarounds. There is still an easily-reproducible bug here that needs to be addressed.
