App is constantly asking me to turn on Location Services on iPhone

I don't want location services on and have "never" in the app. Yet every time I go to look at the dashboard it requests me to turn on location services. This is very annoying. Why is this happening when it did not until a day or so ago?

Hello @Padster, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, usually this message is only received when you're trying to start a MobileRun activity which requires GPS. However I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swipe up the app. If this doesn't work:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.
  • Go to your phone Settings > Fitbit > Location Services and select Always. Open the Fitbit app, then go back to Location services and select Never.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I encountered the same problem but the instructions did not work for me.

What finally worked for me is to turn off 'Bluetooth Sharing' for the Fitbit App (open the iOS Settings App, scroll down to 'Fitbit')
