App not syncing food and water correctly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since we've been forced to accept the new dashboard this problem has started.

My food and water for previous days is not showing on the app. I use my fitnesspal for food and I log water on fitbit itself and I've had no issues previously until this new dashboard. The food and water tiles for the previous days still show blank and only when I go into the tile by clicking on it will it give me the correct info that's synced from myfitnesspal and from the water info I added on the fitbit app. The data is there it's just not showing on the main tile and I have to go into it to see it. Why is this?

Also - when I added food for today it showed on the main tile but then it showed the info I just added on yesterday's tile too. Only when I click into each tile for the day does it give me the accurate info. Why is this?

If I look at the dashboard on the site then the info is right there it's just on the app that the food and water is showing weird.

Hi @Avantika, it is nice to see new members aboard! This sounds pretty weird, I'd recommend you to log out from the your Fitbit account on the app and then log back in. Also, please make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed on your phone. Then try to log your water and food again. 😉

Let me know if that works!

I’m having the same problem! I tried logging out and logging back in and it’s still not syncing the food

Mine isn’t adding food correctly either. It’s either putting nothing when I click on previous things or adding something completely different. For example I was trying to add my acidophilus which is 0 calories and it keeps adding tuna steak which isn’t even on my list! Relogging in didn’t work

Also it’s definitely the app because it’s doing the same thing on my iPad and my phone

Hey guys! @Knnewtonk@Bagwmn and @Lorella66! Our team is aware of an issue which is causing irregularities with food logging on iOS 2.53. While they are investigating it, we recommend iOS users log food via the fitbit.com dashboard. Visit this discussion for updates.

@NellyG, thanks for your participation.

Hello @cdesser, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

Thanks for reporting this to us. Please note that our team has already released a new version of the Fitbit app that has addressed and resolved this issue related to food logs. If you haven't done it yet, please update the Fitbit app on your phone.

If you have already updated the Fitbit app and your food logs are still not getting saved, please force-quit the app and open it again. If this doesn't work, log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

So I see this issue still hasn’t been fixed almost two months later. What is the point of having water on my device if it doesn’t sync? If I wanted to check the app every time I needed something I wouldn’t have spent $200 on a watch.
