App not updating runs and walks, then freezing on that page

Whenever I do a run or a long walk which would normally include a GPS map the full details won’t load, I can’t even delete that data! 
it’s missing the heart rate tracking and exercise zones and the map. When attempting to view this info the app freezes! No issues on the browser site but it’s annoying to have to log in there to get it. This is ever since Google took over

To better assert the issue here, could you please answer the following questions:

How do you track the walk with the GPS data? Do you use the Fitbit app or do you record your walk with a Fitbit?
Does the app freeze only when trying to get the info for the activities or when looking into something else?

What mobile device are you using and what is the operating system version used? eg. iPhone 12 iOS 17.4, IPad 4 iOS 17.2, etc.
In the meantime try logging out of the Fitbit app. 
Tap on the multitasking button and swipe the Fitbit App to force close it. 
Restart your phone (off/on)
Log in again. Try to load the info again.

Hi,

I’m using the Fitbit itself but the app has the location service always allowed. It’s anything either a GPS map that freezes the whole app when I’m using it. I can get the data from the Fitbit website.

I’m using the app on an IPhone 11, version IOS 17.5.1.
I’ve tried logging out of the app. I’ve tried leaving the app for hours. I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Fitbit entirely. Nothing is working.

Good news. The issue with the app freezing when checking the exercises should be solved on the new app update (v4.20)
If possible try updating the app to the newest version.
