@1DinaB Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Have you checked yesterday's stats on the app to see if the 8400 steps were recorded? It could have been a problem with the app. Try logging out and logging back in to your account on the app.
As another tip, perform a restart on your Flex to make sure everything is in order with it.
