iOS Fitbit App, Missing steps after sync.

Is this step counting problem EVER going to be fixed??

This has been going on since at least last July

I sync my phone, it shows the step count that agrees with my Tracker, but after a few seconds, it subtracts a few hundred steps, syncs again, it adds a few hundred steps, sync again it counts  back down and finally matches up with my tracker. If I’ve just walked 250 steps, if the app to syncs, it takes away that couple hundred steps, then it doesn’t credit that hour’s 250 steps.

I have two Sense 1’s, and a Versa 3, plus two Sense  2’s.the step count problem is consistent with whichever tracker I’m using.

I now this issue has been reported months ago, but it’s still happening, at least for me..

It would be nice if it could be fixed.

Hello @RgeWelcome back to our forums!

Thank you for sharing the details about this situation with your tracking steps.

In this case please try the following steps:

  1. Restart your Fitbit.
  2. Sign out from your account.
  3. On your iPhone please offload the app.
  4. Log in
  5. Sync with your app.

To offload the app:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General and then iPhone Storage.
  3. Scroll through the list of apps and tap in the Fitbit app.
  4. On the Fitbit app's information screen, tap Offload App.
  5. Confirm by tapping Offload App again in the pop-up menu.
