App stopped showing intensity colors and 15 min details after the latest iOS app update

Hi all.

I have noticed a change in the Fitbit iOS app since the most recent update.

In the graph that illustrates how many steps/miles you do each day I used to be able to see exactly how many miles/steps were done every 15 mins in a day by touching each bar in the graph. This feature for some reason has now disappeared which is a pain as I cannot tell exactly how many steps/miles were walked before and after a walk.  To some this many not be much of an issue but when you like to log the exact distance of your walk each day then this is a problem. I guess I could just wear the wristband when I start a walk but would much rather have the feature back. Just wonder if anyone else out there sees this as a problem or is it just me?

Affects me also.  Started mid July. I use it a lot because sometimes my Charge 4 doesn’t pick up my work out. For example yesterday I was on the treadmill for 32 minutes and it never recorded it so I had to manually put it in. I would use that feature to see when I started and stopped.

Did that work? Did you lose your history by doing that?

This bug has nothing to do with iOS/iPhone iteration, it’s an app issue. To which not even the latest app version 3.45 had any impact to correct the damage done by the prior version.

I really would like to understand the development process and QA process at Fitbit software development division, but is sure **ahem**. I am support manager for a software and our support is reputed to be the best of all our competitors. So it pains me to see such a **ahem**ty support.

Anyway the latest update created also problem with the Resting Heart Rate graph, I created a topic for this too:

I can’t seem to open this in correct orient but my heart rate part is still ok.  I hope I’m not cursing myself.

Besides asking Fitbit about a fix, they’ve never confirmed what the update was for on 7/27 that caused this issue.

So it is completely wrong indeed. It should be smooth, with one value per
month.

Were these originally colored too, like the single day?  I guess it doesn’t bother me if the amounts are there.  It looks good with colors but I can live with being able to see amounts of 15 minute increments more than anything else.

I’m sorry I guess I don’t use this much.  Does anyone have a picture of the correct version?  I use the steps, calories and miles more than anything else of the features destroyed!

I’ve already sent all that info to you.

I hope this helps! Sorry if it’s not what you were looking for, I may have misunderstood.

Here’s what my app currently shows for steps and Calories. Neither graph is interactive. 0F15E78A-9D36-4F83-B438-0001E58E29DC.png

Below is what the heart rate graph is. Seems like HR BPM is the only graph that lets you see your exact bpm at certain intervals. It’s not as easy to see as the colored bars that used to show when looking at Calories, steps, miles, etc.
But I like that it’s in 5-minute intervals and being able to press and hold/scroll makes it easier to select a section vs the bars on Calories, where my fingers would also tap the wrong bar.

Thanks, that’s what my screens look like too

I was just looking for the heart rate before pics because I didn’t use it that muchI don’t know it changed.

I know there was someone out there who didn’t lose any of the features

I've been annoyed by this app downgrade for the last two weeks, came on here to see that it's not just me. Please fix this Fitbit and revert to the old version!

Same problem since the update. 3.44

iPhone 6s.
really hope they fix this, too!

Best Answer

WTH!  When they can’t even tell you what the 7/27 update was fixing, that speaks volumes!

Just received

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please be informed that the last update we released for the Fitbit app is to fix some bugs but this has nothing to do with your missing exercise, so check your Fitbit account if there's a 3rd party app connected.
If you have any additional questions about your Fitbit devices or services, visit

they keep mentioning 3rd party app, when I check app, Google? I don’t have a google app on my phone where is the only place I have fitibit.  Does anyone understand this issue?  If we can figure out , we will probably be in same boat!
