Fitbit need to get this sorted out. Everyone is using Apple Health. The fact this product won't work with it or you have to buy some ropey third party software is not good enough!

If you've not already done so then you can add your vote to the feature suggestion for this at:

I use 3 party software. Don't hold your breath for fitbit adding the feature; remember it took them 3+ years to allow people to change the water goal from its UNHEALTHY amount of 48oz to the recommended 64oz or more. The "feature request" had thousands of votes and was one of the most popular on the site, yet was ignored for years. If anything, being a 3+ year fitbit user (I have bought 3 trackers for myself and another 4 for the family, so I know fitbit well) they will remove, gimp, or break features before adding any. You can no longer get anymore than 1 month worth of heart rate data (Used to be a year), weight loss/gain data is now very limited (Used to be detailed), and the new dashboard blows. Every update has made my trackers worse, not better. Now when I hit my step goal the tracker locks up and I have to wait for about 30 seconds before the screen will function again. This happens on both my old and new fitbit charge HR so it's not the device, it's the software. This has been an issue for at least the past 4 updates and is still not fixed. I'm done with fitbit, when this tracker dies I will get a Garmin.

I started using Power Sync which is FREE and it seems to sync all the fitbit app data to iOS Health app fine.

Hopfully they make fitbit more compatable with other apps or atleast Health app. I also sync fitbit with my DICK'S app to earn reward points for sporting goods.
