The latest FitBit app version doesn't allow your FitBit device to auto sync with the FitBit app on your phone. Each time you access your FitBit app, you must swipe down the screen to initiate a sync. This previous app version had an auto sync function. Please fix/add back the auto sync function.

I agree, auto sync is needed.
In addition, when I sync the app for the first time in a day it continues to show me yesterday so I also have to click the arrow to get to today's screen. Very frustrating. I think it's a new bug because I've only noticed this within the past couple of weeks. I've had the new app since 9/22/2023.

@ken23 Welcome to the forums. @tdoe It's good to see you here.
Thanks for letting us know about the auto sync not working. I understand how important it is to keep your data updated, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Before anything else, let me share that the auto sync function should continue working as long as the requirements are met, such as having the Bluetooth enabled and your Fitbit device nearby.
That being said, I'd recommend checking if the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background. Then, force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone, restart your Fitbit device, open the Fitbit to force a manual sync and keep an eye on its behavior.
@tdoe In regards to your other question, let me share that the issue with the Today app showing yesterday's data was reported to our team and they're working to get it resolved. I'd recommend subscribing to this thread so you can receive updates from this matter.

FYI, FitBit app has "Background App Refresh" enabled and "Bluetooth" is enabled,
but my FitBit app does not automatically refresh.

Hi there, @ken23.
Thanks for the additional information. Because your post didn't mention, may I know if you've tried the rest of the steps suggested above? If not, please give it a try to see if your Fitbit device starts syncing automatically this time.
