Blaze and MapMyRun

I always log my runs and walks through the MapMyRun app and it seems that my blaze/Fitbit app pick up the amount of time I worked out and then it is double entered through MapMyRun as well. So for example, Fitbit calculates I worked out for 45 minutes but then I end up at 90+ minutes because it includes the workout entered through MapMyRun. 

 

I am not sure if it does this in any of the other categories (I don't think so...) but it is very obviously happening with the "minutes or time" section for the day.... anyone else notice this or how to fix it?

This is a very odd situation and my suggestion would be removing the link between MapMyRun and Fitbit then linking the accounts again to prevent the activities from getting duplicate.

 

To perform this process:

  1. Go to the Applications section of your online Settings.
  2. Locate MapMyRun and click on Revove Access.
  3. Log into MapMyRun website.
  4. Click the Improve tab and select Device Connect.
  5. Find Fitbit and click the Connect button and then log in with your Fitbit credentials when you get redirected. 
  6. Go back to MapMyRun and go to your workout dashboard
  7. Click the Import Workouts button
  8. Next to Fitbit click on Sync

I keep seeing these explanations to go to MapMyRun and go to the 'Improve' tab, but cannot find it anywhere. I have used MapMyRun/MapMyRide for about 5 years now and I just bought to FitBit to track my heart rate when jogging. However, I went for a run today and while the watch recognized that I ran 3 miles, I don't see an entry in MapMyRun for today at all. A major reason I got this fitbit model was that it stated it synced with MapMyRun, so this is disconcerting to me. I just got the FitBit Charge 2 in the mail yesterday. Where is the "Improve" tab in MapMyRun? I cannot find it anywhere. I can find the 'Import Workout' tab and under that a box for fitbit and an enabled 'Sync' button, but when I sync it times out with an error every time. I have verified that I have authorized MapMyRun with the various FitBit apps. Help would be greatly appreciated.
