I've combined your posts. You had the right section in the first post. It is an app issue, not a tracker issue.
It might be helpful if you could provide more details. In my Android app, I can choose between SMS apps. However, I can't choose say Facebook Messenger because that goes through a 3rd party server and Fitbit only lets me choose an SMS app that directly connects to my cell provider. There may be technical reasons for that.
