Upgraded by iPad Mini to the latest with iPad OS 13.1.1 and the Fitbit app icon appears on the desktop but only lauches for a couple of seconds and only then with a blank fitbit screen then returns to the standard ipad desktop view of all the other apps. Have downloaded latest fitbit app from the App Store but nothing changes. Have rebooted the iPad and still no change. Much help needed!

Hello 😃 @gjewing

You have the same iPad as myself. First log out of Fitbit App and Swipe up to remove it. Then just go to setting in your iPad, then to general then to shut down. (It’s way at the bottom)  Once the iPad shuts down then reboot it back up and once it’s fully loaded try to log back into the Fitbit app as you normally would.

😃 please let me know if this solves your issue.

Hi MegaBite

Thanks for your prompt response.

Alas, no change - issue is exactly as described previously after following your instructions. That said, your instruction to swipe up to remove the FitBit app did nothing so I followed the normal Apple method of deleting an app and then reopened it by the App store but the outcome was exactly the same.

Thanks in advance - I await further help accordingly.

Kind regards

Hello again @gjewing

I was hopeful the restart would do the trick but unfortunately we have to take the slightly longer road. (I had to do the same thing but I was trying to avoid having ya do it) The next suggestion would be to completely uninstall the Fitbit app (press on the Fitbit icon till it juggles then press the X) Then turn off your device again then back on. Before heading to the App Store make sure your Bluetooth is turned on then download the Fitbit app again. Then log on as you normally would. **Pay attention to the Bluetooth prompts you will get. Make sure you say “Always”

😃 let me know how that goes

WooHoo!!

Thanks - currently looking good and working as expected. Just a quick query - can I delete the app from my husband’s iPhone which we were using temporarily?

Thanks again.

Best regards
