Hello
Thanks for your reply
I wouldn’t say that The app has been “improved” so your reply unfortunately has fallen on deaf ears

The app switches itself off the screen during exercise. I was previously able to track distance and time during exercise. Now I have to physically remove it from my arm sleeve and open the phone and the app

My experience so far has shown that the app stops tracking during this time also

What is the point of the exercise app if it is now unavailable during and immediate after exercise

It is not fit for purpose!

I had the same trouble with version 4.24 of the iPhone app.  It seems that the redesigned app no longer disables the idle timer in iOS, allowing the phone to lock during exercise.  For me, the app has also been crashing during workouts.  Today, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled version 4.25.  This version also doesn't prevent phone locking during workouts.  I didn't crash today during a run.  Let's see if it remains stable.
