Calculating/syncing false data

My Fitbit has been calculating steps and calories burned nonstop for 10 hrs. I've tried deleting the app & device from my iPhone, restarting my phone & Bluetooth, and I reinstalled the app. I still can't get it to stop. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way I can delete this info and/or reset my Fitbit to make it stop?

Hi @False_Data,

I'd recommend restarting your tracker and rebooting your iOS device.

If for some reason these troubleshoots aren't effective, I'd then recommend reaching out to Fitbit Customer Support for additional help. They'll do their best to help you get back on track.

Hope this helps you out!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @False_Data, hope you're doing great! So I can better assist you, I'd like you to me a bit clearer about your post... I'm getting confusing since you're mentioning that your steps and calories burned have been calculating nonstop, right? Are you seeing a bunch of steps and calories? Is the first time this happens? May I ask for a screen shot of this?

How can I send a screenshot on here? And what I mean is that the steps and calories are increasing nonstop. I just woke up and I've apparently already walked almost 96,000 and burned 5,311 calories. It increases really fast while I watch it and I'm not moving. I've only had my Fitbit since December 25th and this is the first time it's happened. I'd be happy to get you a screenshot if you could tell me how to attach it here or where to send it! Thank you!

I rebooted my iOS and reinstalled the app, but I don't know how to restart my device. I'll look it up now. Thank you!

I literally just got it to start working! I had tried all the other things from the beginning of the issue but I didn't know about restarting it until you said that! It didn't work the first time I did it so I left it overnight and when I reset it again just now it worked!! Thank you so much!!!!! Saved the week! Not to bother you with more questions, but is there a way to delete all the false achievements?

@False_Data There isn't a way for users to delete erroneous data, but they can negate floors and steps. You can negate them by manually logging "Driving". Click here for more details.

Glad to hear that you are back on track and let me know if you need any additional help!
