For the past 2-3 years, I've been managing my fitness/diet with a FitBit Versa tracker. I recently moved from an Android phone to an iPhone and now use an Apple Watch as my tracker, syncing my steps to the FitBit app via MyFitnessSync app.
Unfortunately, ever since I switched to Apple, my Daily Calories Burned stats on the FitBit app never seem to change. They are consistently tracking at around 2600-2700 calories daily...they never go up or down, even on days when I work out. When I was using a FitBit as my tracker, my daily calories burned would range anywhere from 1500-2200 per day allowing for my recommended daily calorie intake to adjust based on activity level.
I have my Nutrition & Weight setting for Food set at a "500 calorie deficit" which is currently saying I should be eating around 2100-2200 calories daily in order to lose 1 pound a week. I'm sorry but if I were to eat FitBit's recommendation of 2100 calories/day, I'd be doing the exact opposite of losing 1 pound a week and actually gaining a ton of weight (i find my sweet spot is somewhere around 1250 calories/day).
I'm wondering if I simply cannot use the FitBit app anymore now that I'm using an Apple Watch as my tracker...could be that they simply aren't compatible? Until I can figure all of this out, I'm using then MyFitnessPro to track activity/diet, but I'd love to be able to go back to FitBit if at all possible as it's features are more to my liking.
Thank you in advance!
