Calories burned not affecting calories left

Hi,
I just recently bought my Fitbit flex and am confused about tracking food in the Fitbit app. I have been tracking my calories with MyFitnessPal previously and am allowed to have a total of 1660 calories each day. At first I synced my Fitbit to MFP but my steps and calories weren't adjusting correctly so I just decided to track my food/calories in the Fitbit app. I might just be not understanding the process correctly but it seems that the calories that I've burned is not affecting the calories that I have left in the day. For example, today I have eaten 554 calories and it says that I have 1106 left. This math would make sense in terms of my 1660 goal but it also says that I hav burned 1078 calories today. So shouldn't the amount of calories that I've burned affect the numbers of calories I have left? Am I just not understanding the math/process or is something not syncing correctly. Thanks so much for any insight you can give me!

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @forsterjess! Those calories burned tiles might be confusing at times. Check out this post with explanation of each calorie's tile. It's easier to understand it from the Dashboard. Hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions! Cat Very Happy
