Calories on Fitstar Yoga

Perhaps this has already been covered in another post, but how does Fitstar Yoga estimate how many calories you burn during a workout? Lately, when I complete a freestyle session, the app will tell me I only burned half of the calories described for that workout. For example, after completing a session that's described as burning 150 calories, the app will tell me I've only burned 70.

Keep in mind, I don't have a wearable Fitbit - I use MobileTrack on my iPhone (which is also what I watch the yoga sessions on), so it's not like Fitstar is using my heartrate or any other metric to estimate how well I completed the session. I understand that everyone burns calories differently based on their weight, gender, age, etc., but it's difficult to imagine that would make that large of a difference (and it's also a little disappointing when you only burn half the calories you expected).

Thanks for any insight into this!

I've been having the same problem for a few days now... I used the FitStar Yoga app on iPad and a wearable Alta. At the moment I 'track' another (fictive) session to add the rest of the calories, but it's annoying. Especially some session are quite intense and it tells me I only burned half of the calories?!

I have been having the same issue (wearing a non HR Fitbit).

The FitStar app has been changing my workout calories lately as well.

I have contacted support and gotten the "we're looking into it" reply.

I love the yoga workouts and like the Fitstar workouts (I actually liked the older version with Tony Gonzalez better) but unfortunately I've had some video and audio issues with the yoga app as well. I got the "we're looking into it" reply in November and despite multiple emails and calls there has been no resolution. So, I'd love to hear from a moderator here, but given the history I'm not optimistic for a fix.
