Hello again @Koala369

First and Foremost Congratulations on losing 10lbs!! This is fantastic and something to be extremely proud of!! I now understand what happen. You were on one particular plan of losing weight and then you decided to increase your intensity of losing weight. Two pounds a week is considered the hardest intensity plan. With that said the calorie allowance your reporting is perfectly normal under this harder plan. I understand you question your calories burned were on average 1400 on non active days. That was confusing to me at first as well till I learned that sleeping, breathing, etc also burn calories so that’s why even on non active days you will still see a calorie burn that makes ya scratch your head. So to answer your question....yes what you are seeing is absolutely correct. But if you find that this harder intensity plan is too much then you can always bump it down just a hair. Here’s how:

open your Fitbit App

tap profile picture on upper left

scroll down an tap nutritions and body goals

tap Food

Tap help me set a goal

enter your current and desired weight

Then chose intensity plan

I hope I was able to answer your question. If I indeed answer your question could you please tap the “best answer” box with the check mark in it just under my post? It really helps other individuals coming to this community looking for answers to questions similar to yours. I’d really appreciate it! And all the best of luck hitting your weight goal....find that inner beast in you. She’s in there! 😃

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Koala369

I see this is your first post. I’m happy you came to this community to find answers. I understand your concerned about your calorie count dropping automatically. Can you please clarify a few thing for me. Are you talking about the calorie deficit has reduced on your Food Plan?  Or has your calorie burn showing on the main page of your Fitbit app changed? Can you please provide me with just a bit more information so I can fully understand your question.

😃 Keep me posted

Hi thank you,
I started on this plan as a way of loosing weight to gain fitness and way of life. I started at 163 lbs lost 10 lbs in a month then went in and changed my plan to loose approx 2 lb a week to get to goal of 140 lb.
it seems a few days later my calorie allowance dropped significantly down to around 650 to 900 calories allowed yet my burned calories were around 1400 on a non active day. Some days I get very little excercise other days I do step class speed walking light weights.
Think all this came about as my plan to get to goal bumped up but I’m trying to understand if this is correct.
Thanks for any help or insight.

Hi, my Fitbit calculates calories burned without even having the device in my hand. For example I leave it on the table with my phone overnight and in the morning I see 815 calories burned. How could I fix that?
