@dawgleglefty  Many Fitbits have a Find My Phone feature, but not a Find My Fitbit feature.  There are apps that will help you find a lost Fitbit, but you must be in Bluetooth range.  Please take a look at options like these that specifically meet your needs.

I’ve actually been down this same path that you’re experiencing now. The best way to track her is an Apple AirTag which obviously works with Apple iPhones and iPads.  You can clip it on or pin it on or put it in a pocket.  Works with GPS and not Bluetooth that limits you to about 40’.  They are not expensive and are small plus the rechargeable battery lasts a very long time.  Hope that helps.

@Teamlotus   I didn't include Air Tags for two reasons.

  • I'm confident that the first reason is a CYA response from Apple.  Apple explicitly states that Air tags aren't for tracking people.  No one wants to be on the receiving end of a tracker placed to stalk them.
  • The Air Tag position doesn't update immediately.  Air Tags don't use GPS.  They use Bluetooth to connect to other iPhones to update their position.  When the Air Tag is near other iPhones, it might update every minute or two.  But I recently took a transatlantic flight.  It took a long time to de-board the plane and get through passport control.  When I got to baggage claim, my phone still gave the last location as the baggage drop off site.

Hi @dawgleglefty - placing an Apple AirTag or Samsung Galaxy SmartTag+ in a handbag is not obtrusive, or even in the car but may be the phone would be a better device to track.
