Can't log anything in the app after recent app update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just did recent update to app on my iPhone and now it won’t let me log anything - water exercise food nothing

I rebooted phone and fit bit with no success.  Anyone else have this issue and suggestions on how to fix it?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Katydid0967.

I am sorry to hear you're unable to log anything in the Fitbit app after the recent app updateThanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone once again.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

I did an upgrade and now my charge 3 is blank, the phone shows batter at medium.  Very frustrating as this fitbit is just maybe a year old.  So much electronic waste in this country and disappointing, I can't get it to work.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @fleetingjeanne.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that Charge 3 went blank after the update. I appreciate the additional details. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Change a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  3. Long restart:
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you for your reply.  I did plug it in it did charge and I wore it, in my phone it indicated a 53% charge but it is totally dead and will not do anything.  Not sure what happened.  I know it happened after I did an update. I'd never been notified to do one before, soooo.  I think it is gone for good.  Thanks

My fit bit totally died and I had tried everything.  Thank-you everyone and now customer service is helping me as my fit bit was less than a year old.

I have tried all day to sync my device without success. I have tried all of the troubleshoots. My iPhone says my device is paired, but when I try to sync it says my phone is not paired.
