Can’t set up Charge HR as new device on iPhone 6

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Last night I tried to sync my Charge HR for the first time in a couple of months on my iPhone 6s with the latest iOS update. It would get half way across with the sync and then stop syncing any further. I tried all the recommended restarts/reinstalled app/ software updates etc.

I went into Bluetooth settings on my phone to ‘forget the device’ and now when I go to set up my Charge HR through the app, it gives me the 4 digit code and then never connects, just gets stuck on the ‘trying to connect’ screen.

Really frustrating - any advice on what I can do now?

Hello @Pamtera, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

At this moment, if your tracker is not setting up correctly I would like to suggest you the following:

  1. Restart your Charge HR, then leave it plugged in and charging.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Restart Bluetooth on your phone by going to Settings > Bluetooth.
  4. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  5. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal or that you have cellular data.

Then, try to set up your tracker as a new device once again:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
