Can we have an option to delete notifications and messages?

My Fitbit Blaze is working fine.  However, I cannot say the same about the iOS Fitbit app.  Specifically, the inability to delete old notifications within the app.  Same goes for old messages from friends.  Can't delete those either.  Within the app, I'm accumulating months worth of notifications that pile up in the notifications section in the app (small text balloon in lower right hand corner).  I don't need to keep all these.  Fitbit needs to design a way for users to delete these old notifications and messages from friends within the app.  I suggest using the left hand icon already present with 3 dots, with the ability to slide or long press to delete a single message.  I also suggest adding a feature at the top of the notification/messages page, to select "all"/delete "all".  If something like this already exists, then I apologize in advance for the oversight.

Hello @SunsetRunner, have a big welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

I really appreciate our members's input and feedback and I would like to thank you for yours. I understand how important is for you and many people to have the ability to remove app notifications and messages. Our team is always looking to improve the Fitbit experience, which is why I went ahead and found a suggested idea by @LZeeW to implement this feature in a future update. Please feel free to add your vote and comment on this idea, this is the best way to get the attention from the development team and make your voice heard.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Do we have resolution on this yet? My app seems to be malfunctioning now. For the past few weeks it would crash the first time I tried to open it, then stay open the second time. Now it is not retaining food input and it is not synchronizing alarm changes.

Hello @MacPharmacist, I hope you're having a great day, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

If the app on your phone is not showing your food logs and not syncing alarms, and you have already updated it to the latest version, please try the following:

  • Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Additionally, if these tips don't seem to solve the issue, please uninstall the app, restart your phone and install it again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
