Have you checked with your friends if they can see each other or can see you in the challenge? If so, it's possible the information on your side has not been updated correctly. In this particular case I would like to suggest forceclosing the app for the information to refresh. 

 

To forceclose the app, double-tap on the home button on your phone and swipe up the app, then open it again and check if your friends appear in the challenge.
