So I use a flex 2 for those times of the day where it isn’t appropriate to wear a visible fitness tracker such as in the workplace. I can clock up steps and despite having my flex 2 set to all day sync as soon as the app communicates with my charge 2 which it seems to do automatically even when all day sync is turned off, all my flex 2 activity is immediately deleted.
This is totally unacceptable and I can’t beleive Fitbit haven’t corrected this error.
Yes all my devices, phone, flex 2 and charge 2 are set to the same time and time zone.
Very frustrating!!!

Hi there, @DGM77. Sorry about the problems but happy you found us here in the forums. Like you, I switch between my Flex 2 and another fitbit device. Here is how I keep from loosing steps when switching between devices. It’s a little extra work, but it works 100% of the time for me.
The thing to remember is that All Day Sync does not mean constant sync. Tap here for more details. In my experience, when switching devices, it is best to take control of the syncing. Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks so much for trying to help but I largely already do this and it doesn’t work.
Many times I’ve packed by charge 2 into checked luggage and flown for over 14 hours.
All activity recorded and synched by the flex 2 ( walking around airports / transits etc ) is immediately erased on first synch with the charge 2.
I am convinced this is a software bug that needs fixing.
