Charge 2 is not giving sleep stages after upgrading phones

I have changed over from iphone 4 to iphone 5 and while I had great sleep stages display on my iphone 4 when I re-installed the tracker on the iphone 5, firstly all historic data was lost and also the sleep stages appear differently and it does not longer show percentages and timing of sleep stages. That was one of my favourite features and the main reason for the fitbit and I would like to have it back. What do I need to do. Could it have something to do with the version of my iphone?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @LunaRathain, hope you're doing great! Woman Very Happy Hmmm... I don't think that your Charge 2 has something to do with this, I'm positive that the issue is coming from the Fitbit app and the email address you're using now.

This happened to me when I upgraded my iPhone, I thought I was logging in with the right account but I wasn't, I put a similar one since the only difference was a letter in between.

Would you mind verifying this? Just do the following for verifying your email:

  • Go to your dashboard and select the "Account" option at the bottom of your Dashboard.
  • Scroll down until you find the "Help" option, then, hit it.
  • Select the one that says "Email Customer Support"
  • Here you'll have the option to write us an email, but don't do it since we just wanna know the email you're using on that App. So, you'll get your logs when scrolling down. Here go to the very bottom of that screen and see try searching for your email account. See my picture below:

Trying to verify if this is the original email you use to use with your app. If it doesn't, try logging out and logging back in by using the correct email. If you're now logged into a different account which is not the one you have been using, this could be the reason why your history data is lost.

Also, in regards to your sleep stages, one thing I recommend is switching your heart rate setting to 'On' instead of 'Auto.' If the heart rate setting is set to 'On' your heart rate will always be active. Keep in mind that you need to record heart rate to calculate sleep stages. If you were to turn off heart rate, your sleep logs will go back to the classic style.

In addition, I think it's great that you update the Fitbit app to the latest version (iOS and Android). I always recommend keeping both the tracker and the Fitbit app up to date with the latest versions. I would double check this, please make sure that your Fitbit iOS app is already in version 2.50.

Also, please take a look at all the requirements for receiving sleeping stages in this post

PS: I moved your post to the Fitbit iOS App as there are more chances to get app related replies here.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome!
