Charge 2 is unable to set up after being removed from account.

My new fitbit set up fine but did not buzz with new messages etc. So I followed instructions to turn off notifications and reboot- that did not work- so I told it to forget the fitbit and then try to reconnect. Now I cannot make bluetooth connection either with my iphone 6S or my imac. The imac, which worked fine before, now asks for a dongle.

How can I resynch by bluetooth when the charge2 is not seen by either of them?

Hello @BigAl1943, I hope you're having a great day, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

Please keep in mind that your tracker connects to your phone through the Fitbit app and not the Bluetooth settings on your phone, the tracker will appear on the Bluetooth settings once you've set up Notifications as it establishes a bond required for the tracker to receive them. In this case I would like to suggest you the following in order to set up your tracker once again:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Restart your Charge 2, then leave it plugged in and charging.
  4. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the set up process.
  5. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal.
  6. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  7. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  8. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
