Charge 2 is unable to set up on iPhone SE

help please! trying to set up fitbit charge 2 to iphone se . keep typing in the 4 digit number the fitbit gives me then phone screen just stays on ' connecting to fitbit' and thats it. does nothing. 

tried the various solutions ive read in the forums - bluetooth on / off reset off / on etc but still nothing. 

am i missing  something here?

If your Charge 2 is not setting up in your iPhone, I would like to suggest you try the following steps:

 

  1. Restart your Charge 2, then leave it plugged in and charging
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal
  4. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the set up process.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  6. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
