Charge 2 wont pair with iPhone or Mac

New Charge 2. Was not able to get beyond the PIN entry screen - the app would either continue to spin on connecting to the Charge or report an error and ask me to try again.

I decided to try to pair from my Mid 2015 Macbook Pro with the Fitbit Connect app. The pairing will either fail with the message of "Could not establish connection!" or will find the Charge, ask me to enter the PIN, then report "An error occured while pairing!" I click "Try Again", enter the next PIN, and get the same error.

So it is clearly not the iPhone or the Mac, rather, it is the Charge. I will be returning it for a replacement but this is a poor first experience in having given this as a gift. Is there anything I am missing?

I just paired my new charge2 to my iPhone 6 Plus this evening. I did have a slight hiccup due to the very low battery on my Fitbit. After a quick charge, it paired perfectly.

Same happened to me today. Merry Christmas. Just as a heads up, if you called today then you reached a scammer because their closed today. I found this out earlier, talked to a scammer, told me to return the Fitbit to them, almost fooled me until I looked closely at their email. First they sent me a tracking number...you can't get that unless it's sent! And you get it from fedex, not Fitbit people. Second, the return label was a weird barcode I've never seen before. It was JUST a barcode, when scanned with a QR reader it pulled up something funky. And address it was related to...well I googled it and it came up as a known scam. So contact Fitbit peeps during their business hours and be careful!

Hello @DebbieMin, it's nice to see you around, same as you @Ryane5150Smiley Happy Welcome to the Community @Mimi90027!

I was wondering if you were finally able to set up your Charge 2 @DebbieMin, it is possible that as @Mimi90027 mentioned, it needed to be fully charged to establish a proper connection with either your phone or your Macbook. If your tracker is still unable to be setup I would like to suggest the following:

  • Restart your tracker and keep it plugged in during the setup process
  • Restart you phone
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere.
  • Try setting up your device:
    1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
    2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue

@Ryane5150, did you contact the Support Team through the Fitbit helpsite? Our team has always been available during holidays as we never close, were you provided a case number? If so, please contact the Support Team once again and provide the case number to the agent, I'm sure they will be able to assist you further.

I hope this information can be useful, feel free to reply in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I have the same issue, I just received a charge2 and will not pair with my Mac.  I do not move beyond the bluetooth step. It loops in that step of the pairing even though bluethoog is on and other devices ate listed.
