Charge 3 not syncing with iPhone/iPad.

Ever since last update Fitbit charge 3 stopped syncing to my iPad. Switched to my iPhone, now it doesn't sync to that either. Turned both devices on and off as well as the Bluetooth and still does nothing. Not at all impressed anymore. Maybe I'll just buy a timex, they still make those right?

I finally got fed up with my charge 3 and my husband bought me a Versa 2 which is giving me trouble as well.
What has happened to this Fitbit company! Their products are going down the tube along with their reputation.

Day 7 and back to no syncing but this time my phone can’t even find my charge 3.  Turned phone on and off, turned Bluetooth on and off, forget device, and now forgot completely. Bad time money wise to switch to Apple Watch but the frustration has reached my peak.

My charge 3 fitbit won’t sync to either my iPhone or my iPad and the time is wrong for 3 days now.  I have tried all the steps that I can find on this forum.  Are there any new suggestions. I see most of these posts are a year old.

There have been a few days of recent posts about this problem and I had posted a reply I received on Twitter from Fitbit.  Yesterday the app and device did well.  Today no syncing.  I deleted the device, turned phone off and on, turned Bluetooth off and on, and then reinstalled the charge 3. Synced so far.  Daily issues.

OK I have decided the Charge 3 is a bit of junk compared to my old FitBit HR which went for nearly 4 years and only died when it got soaked at Iguassu Falls last year!

I have to continually re-sync my Charge 3, on my latest time wasting exercise yesterday I followed all the steps a couple of time with no luck and no sync over about the previous 3 days.

I then when to settings on my Iphone>settings>bluetooth>removed the Charge 3 - there are all sorts of threatening messages about loosing data etc but with nothing to loose I pressed on.

I then deleted the FitBit app off the iPhone and reinstalled it then through the FitBit app on the iPhone I went to setup a device, it found my Charge 3 then the Charge 3 generates a pass code which you enter into the app and bingo it worked and has been working for about 24 hours so here's hoping!

I don't know why the official website doesn't suggest this approach?

As background:-

FitBit replaced my Charge 3 twice in about 3 months so I am on my third Charge 3 which has a really crappy display but I refuse to buy a Charge 4 which looks the same and probably has the same issues!

I too have same problem with 4 month old same device and have already tried all steps suggested above but nothing works. Like other user app on iPad or phone spins and spins and cannot connect even though it finds fit bit

Hi
Tried that and failed but have just done it again with success . Not very straightforward which is rather disappointing

Yup its damm frustrating to keep having to reconnect and resync FitBit really need to get their act together or perhaps they have lost the plot since they got bought out and don't care anymore?

Mines an SE too strangely enough. I haven’t actually looked yet but assuming all my previous data will have been deleted which is quite frustrating as well. I would actually advise folk to avoid this fit bit as the problem doesn’t look like it’s going to go away

My data was not deleted, everything from the past 10 days synced from the tracker to my iPhone and iPad app.

FitBit Support have tweeted that this is fixed now.

The prior issue affecting syncing, pairing, and firmware updates has now been resolved. If you're having trouble updating to iOS 13.5, uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app may resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience!”

That's crap--has not worked correctly since 13.3. and my gear is updated to 13.5 and still have to reboot the Charge 3 before everytime to get it to sync with iPhone 10 max

I finally got fed up and took mine back and got a Versa 2. The Versa 2 was just as bad. Would not sync or stay in sync. Would not keep accurate track of activities.
I took the Versa 2 back and got my money back. I won’t buy a Fitbit ever again!!

I’m having same issues and will not sync of even reinstall through my app. Also no longer keeps time and is 30 slow by the end of the day.

Can't believe that FitBit expect you to reboot between 3 - 10 times to get it to sync and loose heaps of data in the process!
