Charge 3

My Charge 3 is currently connected to my iPad and iPhone. Can I remove the Fitbit app from my iPhone without it removing it from my iPad? Am having a great deal of difficulty syncing my IPad..it continually says “no device found”, yet it shows up on my iPhone.  I have reset my Fitbit, rebooted my iPad, turned the Bluetooth off on....not sure what else to do, but am getting REALLY frustrated.   Do you think that would help, since I don’t really use the one on my iPhone anyway.  I’m thinking that may be the easiest solution and less hassle in the future.  Would certainly appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

Hello @JoyELizabeth and welcome to the Help forums.  Do you have your Charge 3 set to receive Notifications from your iPhone?  If you do, your Charge 3 makes a tight Bluetooth bond with your phone.  You need to disable Notifications to sync between devices.  You can turn Notifications on and off in the Quick Settings on your Charge 3.  Press and hold the "button" for two seconds to get to your Quick Settings.

Hello,

Thanks for you advice and I have done what you suggested, but it hasn’t helped. When I try to update my Fitbit on my iPad it still says “No Device Found” and only updates after I have updated on my iPhone. When I go to Bluetooth on my iPad, under “My Device” it says “Charge 3 not connected (i)”. If i click on (i), it says “Forget this Device”. Do you know what this means? I’m not sure if I click on “Forget this Device” if my Charge 3 will disappear from my iPad. Once my phone syncs, then I can sync my iPad, although it still says “No Device Found”.

I actually only want my Fitbit on my iPad, is there any way I can take it off my iPhone without removing the Charge 3 from my iPad?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Joy

@JoyELizabeth   Just so you understand "how this stuff works", your steps/calories/etc. sync with the Fitbit servers and aren't stored on your iPhone or iPad.

If you want to use only your iPad, then you should delete the Fitbit app from your phone.  This doesn't delete any data, because data isn't stored on the phone.

Forget This Device is used when when you get rid of the Charge 3 and don't want or need a Bluetooth connection anymore.
