Charge HR stuck on bar with exclamation point and won't connect with bluetooth

I tried to updated my Charge HR today when I was prompted. It's stuck on a bar with an exclamation point, won't connect to Bluetooth for more than what seems like an instant.

 

I've removed the device from my account, but it seems it's bricked.

Had my phone forget it in the Bluetooth menu, then it instantly connected and resumed.

had the exact same issue. Thank you for your solution. worked like a charm. Now i just hope that it finishes updating.

I did the uipdate.  Since then, I have my fitbitHR stuck with the exclamation.  I have removed from my phone, I have tried all the tricks and have been charging it.  I can't get the exclamation off my fitbit to even try to reconnect to my phone.
