I have a new fitbit charge hr and it syncs to the phone when i type in the 4 digit code and I accept terms etc but when the screen appears that says "update now" at the bottom, I could push it forever and nothing happens on the phone or the tracker

Welcome to the Community @Bellboy13. It's weird to hear that this button is not working. In this case, I recommend setting up your Charge HR from a Computer. After the setup process, you should be able to use your iOS Fitbit app by just logging in, please also check that your app is Updated by following @MarreFitbit's instructions.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

That also didn't work. I tried it on multiple computers and also tried to test it on a friends phone but to no avail.

I am also having this problem... Have tried to update using two different computers and phone and it will not update.

I'm having the same issue while attempting to update my Alta using iOS on an iPhone 6s.  Anyone have any luck?  I tried the steps @DerrickS recommended with the exception of updating with a different mobile device or a computer. Unfortunately, I do not have another mobile device... I opted for the $1000 Kanye West sneakers instead. Also, I threw out my dongle.
