Yes, there are bigger issues with the app. But this should have been an easy win for the dev team.

@mikey_pdx , Thank you for your message and the link shared. 

According to the post on the Pulse, it says that our team is working on dark mode, but was not announced as a new feature like the celebrations, focus and /or  the streak. 
I found this Product Feedback. Add dark mode on new Fitbit app
