Distance goal in App not correct.

I recently noticed that after updating to the new (and horrible) Fitbit App on my iPhone, I noticed that my 5 mile distance goal had reduced to 3.1 miles.  So I went to the settings and changed it to 5.  Now it says my daily distance goal is 8 miles, even though it is set to 5 miles in the settings.  so, it looks like it previously thought my goal  goal was 5 kilometers, which is 3.1 miles.  Now it seems to be converting my 5 mile in settings to kilometers on the app screen (even though I have it set to miles).  It’s not just wrong, it’s schizophrenic!

Just of another example of the incredibly crappy new app that Fitbit has forced upon us. We had a great app that almost everyone was happy with; but some **ahem** in an office decided that even though it wasn’t broke, Fitbit needed to break it.  I guess that person was trying to justify their paycheck.  I hope they have been fired!!!

@ATL_Dave  This is a bug in the Fitbit app.  My distance goal is set to 5 miles.  When I tap on my distance tile and have the top setting on Day, the distance to my goal is correct.  When I move the selection to Week, my goal line is at 8 mi.  It is a mile/kilometer mismatch and I agree with your schizophrenic description.  Generally, a bug like this is confined to iOS or Android, but not both.  Android users have been complaining about a similar bug for some time.

To be complete, I stopped tracking my distance separately after getting my Pole to Pole badge.  I saw this with the updated app layout when I tried all the options to see the results.  The distance page details are different.

@EstuardoFitbit  This is a bug that should be reported, if not already done.  This user's experience isn't related to MobileTrack.

Hi there  @ATL_Dave, it is nice to see you around.

Thanks for providing us with all the details related to your issue with the daily goal in your Versa 4.

I'll advise downloading the most recent version of the Fitbit app as a starting point. As you pointed out, updates are made to the new design frequently to address any specific problems that may arise.

Aside from that, I'm curious as to whether you have ever put up a mobile track. With the use of this function, you can track some of the data that a Fitbit devices can without really owning one. I'll advise you to delete this Mobile Track from your account. There may be some inconsistency in the information that is recorded by both Mobile Track and the device.

Hi have no idea what a mobile track is, how you would set it up, and certainly don't know how to delete one.  So, your answer is of now help to me.

Hi there @ATL_Dave, thanks for getting back to me.

Let me explain to you how you can turn the Mobile Track off from your Fitbit app.

1. Press on the device icon at the top left corner

2. Press on the icon of a Phone, this is how the Mobile Track is going to be shown on your app

3. Press on the option "Disconnected device"

Press Disconnect once again and that would be all

Please be aware that using more than one device at once is not something I personally advise. Remember that certain outdated Fitbit devices may continue to be on your account even after you stop using them. This might have a major effect on how your app and current device sync.

Thanks for the reply LZeeW.  Instead of trying to fix their programming error, Fitbit is trying to blame it on me.  I wasn't using MobileTrack.  Hey, @EstuardoFitbit are you going to report this as a bug?  Seems like it would be an easy fix for the programmer who screwed up and dropped the ball on this.
