Does Fitbit read steps from Apple Health?

I have the Charge 3 and an iPhone 11 Pro.

I am a bit confused if Fitbit is supposed to show steps from Health as well or not. I saw this thread where it does say that there is a MobileTrack option, but I can't see this option on my phone.

What is confusing is that I had 5.000 steps registered yesterday on Fitbit, but I didn't wear the Charge 3 at all, where did it get these steps? I did go out for a walk with my phone + Apple Watch. Did it get the steps from the Apple Watch?

Thanks.

Please ignore this entry, it turns out that I had the Fitbit device in my backpack when I went out for a walk
