Does your Inspire successful connect to iPhone 11?

I don't like wrist trackers and have had Fitbit One's for years now.  Recently I upgraded my iphone from a 6S to 11 and the One will not longer connect.  When I go to add the device, it tells me to turn on bluetooth when bluetooth is already on.  I've exhausted all troubleshooting tips and I have a feeling it's just an incompatibility issue I'm doubtful Fitbit will address.

Anyhow...the Inspire seems to be the smallest Fitbit wrist tracker and I see they make holders for it.  Before I consider purchasing one, I would like some confirmation, it will connect to my iphone 11 ok so wondered if any users have tried such yet?

Do you think using the Inspire with a clip on case is a viable option.  Myself and many others were very upset when Fitbit discontinued the One and did not offer a replacement.

Finally got my One to sync with my iphone 11.  Not sure if Fitbit updated the app or not but I removed and reinstalled the app (had done this previously as well) and this time when the app started I got the message from iphone saying Fitbit would like to use bluetooth of which I allowed.  I previously did not get that message.  Anyhow after that, it paired successfully for which I am pleased.

Thanks for reaching out the Community Forums @geepondy. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I really appreciate the time you've taken to troubleshoot your Fitbit One. Sorry it didn't connect with your new iPhone 11. This phone model isn't in the list of compatible devices, but you can perform the following steps to try to connect them:

  • Restart your One, only this time leave it plugged in and charging.
  • Restart your phone
  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal when trying to sync
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the syncing process.

In case your One is still not syncing correctly, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

About Fitbit Inspire with the clip, it will sync with any device from the official list. All Fitbit devices connect in the same way. You can read more information about it here: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?

If you have doubts about Fitbit Inspire being a good option for you, feel free to check this article: Getting started with Fitbit InspirePlease note the clip accessory is only for Fitbit Inspire, it doesn't work with Fitbit Inspire HR.

Thank you Yojana for your response.  I just tried your steps and no, unfortunately it still does not work.  For whatever reason, during the setup process of pairing the One as a new device, it tells me to turn on the blue tooth when the blue tooth is already on.  When I go to the phone blue tooth settings, the One is not listed.

When I look at the list of compatible devices, the iphone 11 is not listed.  If this is the case, judging by the line at the Apple store of people including myself purchasing new phones, you will have a lot of unhappy customers.  I guess there is not point in purchasing the Inspire if the Iphone 11 is not supported.  From reading other forums though, it seems some users are able to pair their devices with their new iphone 11s.

To recap, I do the following Steps

- Click "Set UP Device" from the app

- I then choose the One

- I get a screen showing a picture of the One with some text and the Set UP bar at the bottom.  I click the bottom "Set Up" bar

- Immediately, in a fraction of a second, I get a message stating "Turn On Bluetooth to Allow "Fitbit" to Connect to Accessories.

-When I view my blue tooth devices, the Fitbit is not listed.  I've successfully connected other blue tooth devices to Iphone 11.  As mentioned I have completely removed the device and the app from my old Iphone 6S.
