The Alta is draining the battery on my iPhone FAST. It was 100% charged at 9am and by 2pm I am at 53%. I turned off All day auto sync and selected forget this device on my phones blue tooth which didn't matter because it continues to sync. Any suggestions?

It's great to see you around @Lisalgutie. I must say that I find this very weird, since your phone's battery shouldn't be draining unless you have a continuous usage of the Fitbit app. Since it will start trying to sync every time you open the Fitbit app.
However, the battery consumption shouldn't be that high to drain it all. Have you recently installed a new application on your phone? What's your phone model and the current OS version it's using? I'd try logging from the Fitbit app out for at least one day and sync trough a PC if available to keep an eye on your phone's performance.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi there,
I have exactly the same problem. iPhone battery life is draining FAST. Ever since I installed the Fitbit app 3 days ago. I haven't installed an app since.
I have done everything this forum says (turn off auto sync), but somehow my iPhone's battery fitness is decreasing fast with this fitness app. Definitely not healthy for my phone. Unless there is not a solution fast, I am going to uninstall unfortunately. Since you don't sync with the health app, I really don't know what the extra added value is by Fitbit? I would have bought a step counter instead.
iPhone 6 (latest iOS), Alta HR (updated).

Same issue - I installed Fitbit app and my phone was 100% when I went to bed - woke up with it at 36%??? This occurred two days in a row. Followed tips and turned off All day Sync and everything tying Fitbit all to my phone resources. Same issues. uninstalled the app and my phone was fine,
I'm trying again since my employee health benefits gives discounts for steps/activity and recommend tracking with the FitBit....I don't have my phone on with me 100% of the time - so the iPhone activity tracker isn't accurate.
Will see how uninstall/re-install impact the situation.

Everyone experiencing this issue should check if it's actually the Fitbit app draining their battery.
You can do this by going to Settings > Battery. There should be a list over the apps you've had open (that use 1% or more battery).
You can pick either last 24 hours or for the last 7 days. Clicking on the little clock there will give you additional information about how long the app has been on screen or in the background.
To close apps in iOS, double click your home button and swipe up on any apps you have open that you don't need to have in the background. This can save you battery since some apps use power to be in the background.
Edit: My Fitbit app has used 6% of my battery both during the last 24 hours and during the last 7 days.
During the last 7 days my Fitbit app has been on screen 1.1 hours and in the background 5.9 hours (usually due to connected GPS).
