Dup notifications

I know there's a few posts about the problem with Windows phones but I'm using iOS on my iPhone 6 Plus.
I always get 2 duplicate notifications from my step goal and friend challenge alerts. Getting really annoyed. Tried reinstalling the app but still get duplicates. Whats the problem here?

Every time I get a notification from the Fitbit app pushed to my phone, it sends it twice.

I have tried restarting the phone, and resetting the tracker.

In case this has any bearing:

I used my fitbit Charge HR with my iPhone for a few weeks last year, then stopped using the tracker, uninstalled the app and forgot about it until recently. I then re-installed the app and started using the tracker again. I did not have the double notifications problem last year.

@Bly2 I've merged your post into a thread where users are experiencing something similar.

@Sgowski @Bly2 For clarification, what type of iOS device are you using and what iOS version is it running (ie iOS 9.2.1, iOS 8, etc)?

If it happens again can you also post a screenshot?

Keep me posted!

I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus running 9.2.1...I ended up returning my new Charge because it started giving me the same rash I had got when I used the Flex. Now I have a Fitbit One, which I really like, but still getting duplicate notifications in the apple Notification Center, you know when swipe the phone from the top down the screen? It happens when when I get any update on friend challenges, or when one of my friends post a comment in the challenge. I always get duplicate notification.

Thanks, @DerrickS

I'm on an iPhone 5s, iOS 9.2. I'll try to screenshot the double notifications on my locked screen. They don't show up in the Notifications section of the top pull down menu.

@Sgowski if possible, can you post a screenshot of the duplicate notifications that you are receiving?

This would be really helpful with investigating this issue.

I too am having the same issue, just got my Charge HR this week and now every notification I get shows up twice. I'm using my Charge HR with an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.2. Unfortunately my screenshot will not attach, but looks exactly like the one previuosly posted with duplicate notifications at the same time.

Has anyone had any luck solving this yet?
I am having the exact same issue. I have an iPhone 6. I had a Fitbit tracker over a year ago and lost it. I recently purchased a new one and am having duplicate notifications on my phone ever since I started using the new tracker.

It looks like I was able to fix it. I logged in to my account on the website and edited the notifications there. I turned them all off that were checked for mobile, saved, then turned them back on. However, the duplicate notifications didn't stop until the next day so you may need to wait for it to reset at midnight. Hope this helps!

I've tried this numerous times...but its been a few months since the last time I did. Didn't work for me then but I'll give it another try and report back. Thanks

This is a "Me too" post.  I get triple notificaitons of everything from the FitBit iOS app.  I'm running the latest iOS on an iPhone 6S+ with the latest FitBit app release.  None of the suggestions have worked for me.  Clearly from this thread, this has been going on for 6 months or more with no solution.  I've updated the FitBit app every time.  Come on folks, solve this.
