FITBIT NOT RECORDING/ TRACKING EXERCISE

I have absolutely loved using my Fitbit app over the years (since September 2009), but I’m now at the point where Fitbit is no longer serving its purpose, unless the app can be fixed rapidly.  I have searched the Fitbit Community and there are hundreds of thousands of people with the same issue.  Fitbit - when can you fix this issue?

My Fitbit app is no longer recording exercise (neither by auto-track, nor if I manually start a ‘workout’ by pressing the button on the Fitbit).

Since updating the Fitbit app in 2022, this has been an issue and has got worse with each app update.

I originally logged my issue via the Fitbit Community on 24-Nov-2022 and many others had the same issue, but with no resolve.

Following the app update with the drastic visual overhaul (which, by the way, I think was a terrible decision by Fitbit), the issue has become so bad that it has rendered my Fitbit useless.

Whenever exercise is logged, it always shows 100% in the ‘Light’ zone.  This is inaccurate because I have done races and workouts which would have got me in the Peak, Vigorous and Moderate zones (formerly labelled Peak, Cardio, Fat Burn, Below Zones).

Since updating the app again more recently, none of my workouts are being logged.

See image below with the evolution of the Fitbit exercise tracking feature.  In my opinion, the original colourful heartrate chart was so much better than the current visual, but having a Fitbit that actually tracks exercise is my current priority.

It is not a hardware issue because my Fitbit is logging sleep, heart rate, energy burned, and steps.

I have so far done the following:
-Updated the Fitbit app and moved over to Google
-Updated iOS
-Force closed the app and restarted
-Uninstalled the app and re-installed
-Turned my phone off and on
-Restarted my FitBit

-FitBit Charge 2
-FitBit app version  4.34
-iOS version 18.1.1
-iPhone 12

I had the same issue with cycling data. however if I view my data within the android app and not iOS the zones are fixed. GPS tracking within the iOS app is hit or miss as it sometimes tracks but never got connect gps with the charge 2 to work with the iOS app so the distance data is inaccurate on both platforms.
