Exercise tracking/logging and the app

I have a Fitbit Alta and last week I logged an outdoor bike ride and used the app on my iPhone 5 to log the ROUTE also

When I got back, the route was showing

BUT after the Alta had synced my map was gone

Is this correct behaviour?

It doesn't seem so to me

@philguk It's great to see you in the Community! It's weird that your bike exercise's map disappeared after you synced your Alta. I'd like to know if you took a screenshot of the map when it was still showing before syncing your tracker. If so, attach the screenshot in this thread.

Also, try logging out of the app, turn off your phone and turn it back on. Once this has been done, open the app, log in and try to log a running activity using your phone and check if the map appears and take a screenshot of it. After this, sync your tracker and take another screenshot if the map disappears again. Finally, make sure that your iOS device has the most recent update.

Keep me posted on the outcome my friend and I'll be around! Smiley Happy

I wonder if it was because I categorized it as an "Outdoor Bike" session and it got confused with the automatically detected "Outdoor Bike" at the same time

The other day, I repeated it to provide more information, only to find that the map stays put BUT I cannot recategorize it - so it now appears as a "Walk" 😞

I will try a third time soon and see if I can detect a pattern
