In the IOS app, you can log or track a workout(exercise).
I have a charge HR and it appears to automatically pickup that I rode my bike or ran or walked. But it doesn't for obvious reasons map it or log other workouts like skiing or canoeing.
If you log a workout, you can select almost anything. For me this bike, hike, cross country skiing, canoeing, running.
But, if you want to track a workout, you only get trhee options: run, walk or hike. I really want to try and log my cross ccountry skiing, canoeing and other activities.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community my friend ! Thanks for your suggestion in regards to the way Fitbit and the Fitbit app track your workouts.
I'd recommend checking our Exercise and activity FAQs, where you'll get a lot of information about how to use the exercise mode on your tracker, the SmartTrack, MobileRun, etc..
If you want to add more ideas or suggestions in the way this is use to work, the best place to make your voice heard is the Ideas board on our community, which our product development teams consult regularly to ensure we're delivering on what our customers need and want. Take a moment to visit and give us your feedback.
If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments.
Have a nice day!
