It's nice to see you around the Community @ksmyth7, how you doing?
What you are using for tracking your activities? SmartTrack?
SmartTrack recognizes continuous, high-movement activities such as:
- Walking
- Running
- Outdoor biking
- Elliptical
- Swimming (Flex 2 only)
It also recognizes two general categories:
- Sport—Includes high-movement sports like tennis, basketball, soccer, and others. Sports that might not be recognized include those without continuous movement or that vary in intensity level, like golf.
- Aerobic workout—Includes aerobic activities with continuous movement, such as Zumba®, cardio-kickboxing, and other dance classes.
On your Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Exercise tile to see your exercise history. (On fitbit.com, go to your activity log.) For each auto-detected exercise you'll find stats such as duration and estimated calorie burn. Distance and pace are not included.
By default, SmartTrack recognizes an exercise that lasts at least 15 minutes. You can lower this setting to 10 minutes, or increase it as high as 90 minutes. For example if you only want SmartTrack to detect your longer walks, you might change your duration settings to a 30-minute minimum. For instructions on how to modify your minimum exercise duration, do the following:
- On the Fitbit app dashboard tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history. This is the tile that says "Track exercise" if you haven't worked out today. If you've already worked out, you'll see the exercise category on the tile instead (for example, Run or Hike).
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner, then tap the target exercise and adjust the duration.
Note that SmartTrack settings apply across all trackers. If your account has more than one tracker with SmartTrack, modifying the settings applies to all trackers.
If you are not using SmartTrack to detect your activities let me know what method you use so I can assist you better, see you around!
