I went for broke and just cleared the the message, and retried it.. about the 5th or 6th time, it worked.  and bam started updating correctly.  I know it is weird... but seems to work.

Just bought a Fitbit Charge 2 which is refusing to charge up. Also when I attempt to sync with iPad running IOS 10.3.3 (14G60) I get the error message FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 18. No matter how many times I try again, I get the same message. Can anybody give me some advice please?

@Kevin53 i have moved you post to the main thread on this subject, you might want to read the temporary solution that @ErickFitbit has been updating.

There are also a few posts where people where able to get around this.

@ErickFitbit i found this post where the user followed these directions to fix this error.

@KLouisa it sounds like your error might be fixed with a restart of the tracker.

I resolved my problem by plugging Fitbit into charge and pressing button on USB end of lead 3 times quickly. It rebooted the Bluetooth

@PottyPenny what you did was a restart of the tracker, this indeed would force a renewal of the Bluetooth connection.

Hi

Yes I thought I would be a restart but it kept all my existing data for the day (this was about 6pm) so I was really pleased it worked and didn't lose my data- that's why I didn't say restart as it didn't lose my days data.

I'm just pleased it works 😍

Screenshot as requested. However the problem is resolved. I kept hitting the 'Try Again' button with the Fitbit Charge 2 in contact with the iPad screen without success. As soon as I lifted the Fitbit slightly away from the screen, the update went through and the battery was fully charged. Hope this helps others.

My Fitbit Blaze will not update after charging once the battery went completely dead.

I keep getting this message FBBluetoothErroreDomain error 18. I have tried reloading the fitbit app, restarting my tracker, and continuously pushing  "try again" after error message comes up.

The reason I am trying to update and/or syncing is because after the last charge my clock is wrong.

What else can I do??

As a heads up, I worked around this error by downloading Fitbit Connect on my Mac and updated the device via Fitbit Connect as opposed to using my iOS device. I'd recommend this workaround for anyone else experiencing this same issue.

Not only do I get the error 18, when I am wearing the Fitbit Flex 2, the blue flickers on intermittently. I have the iPhone 6s and checked for compatibility, which showed it is compatible. I tried plugging it in the charger and pressing 3 quick times, but nothing works.

I have tried, this is brand new flex 2 and this is my second one of theses.  I just got this yesterday and it is not working with my iphone.  I have reset the device, I have rebooted my phone and I have even removed the app and put it back on the phone.  It will not update at all.
