FitBit App drains my phone's battery on iOS 11.0.2

Hello

I installed the update of the App and since then my iPhone’s battery (OS 11.02, iPhone 6s) drains in speed tempo. It shows 47% usage by the app in the last 24 hours even the background Sync is disabled. I was not able to complete my Nordic Walking with Fitbit tracker. The battery died. I checked with Apple Support my battery is in the top form. It is definitely the App. They suggest I quit it. Any other solution? Please help! Thank you.

Hello @DodoM, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, however I would like to ask you to update the Fitbit app as we have just released a new version of it (2.41.1). Additionally, if you're not using MobileRun to register your run, walk or hike and instead you have a tracker paired to your account my best recommendation would be force-closing the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app, open it until you want to sync your tracker. That will prevent the app from using battery (also, you can do this with other apps you're currently not using to save battery as well).

Finally, the battery of your phone and tracker will be improved if you disable All-day Sync in case you have it enabled in the Fitbit app. Go to Account > Your tracker > All-day Sync to check if it is.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I have same problem and did follow your recommendation of eliminating the all day sync but no change.

it is draining the battery even when app is not running.

had to delete the app to stop draining l phone 6s plus battery.

Hello @Nader1959, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

Is your phone battery still draining even if you force-closed the Fitbit app? If so, please make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is turned off in case you're not using it and to prevent the tracker to constantly sync with your phone. Please go to your phone Settings > Bluetooth and manually turn it off from here, if you only turn it off when swiping up the app, the Bluetooth will automatically turn on as it was designed that way since iOS 11.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.
