Fitbit App not Remembering Anything

After I upgraded to ios17 and the new app (its terrible looking) my fitbit isnt remembering anything new. It will sync and then send the data to the app. The step data shows up (so they are talking to each other) but then the moment I close or use the app to look through the data it forgets everything.
