Fitbit App not showing past data

I sync to an IOS app on my IPhone. This is going to be hard to explain but there are two items on my dashboard that do not hold the daily activity. Each day my steps per hour and slept hours updates to the current days activity. So yesterday I met my step goal each hour between 8 and 4 so at the end of the day it showed each dot red. This morning it didn't have any dots red, until I met my step goal between 8 and 9. I can go back days and weeks and they all show the same thing, even though I met that day's step challenge. Does this make sense to anyone. My hours slept does the same thing. Why are they not holding each days actually activity? They used to but I don't remember when this actually started. I have logged out and back into my app on the phone and have restarted my Surge. Nothing seems to work.

Anyone else out there with this issue?

Hello @Dkschall, I hope you're having a great day, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

Now, instead of going back to check only one day at a time, when you tap on each tile you will be able to see a graph detailing the information of your latest days and if you scroll down, all of the information from previous days will be available for comparison. In regards of your hourly activity, once you tap on the hourly activity tile you'll be able to see the following:

HourlyActivityDetails.png

As you can see, the graph shows the information from the latest 7 days and if you scroll down, you can check the information from previous weeks, distributed in a weekly basis.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply. Smiley Wink

Hey there @Dkschall! Lovely to see you here! Cat Happy

Actually, yes! We've seen this issue before, please verify that your phone is connected to internet and that it is up to date, force quite the Fitbit App and  log out/in. I'm pretty sure your data is safe in your Fitbit Account you can access to the Fitbit.com Dashboard on the browser of your phone or computer to check that.

As I mentioned in my original post, I had already logged out and back into the app and that did not fix the issue. So basically you are telling me there is no fix for this? It used to work fine so what happened that changed it and why can't that be fixed?

Hello @Dkschall, thanks for taking the time to reply, I hope you're having a great day. Smiley Happy

Please note that when you swipe to check information from previous days, only the main tile (steps, distance, calories burned, active minutes and floors) will update the information. All the other tiles will show "Today's" information. If you'd like to check information from previous days on these tiles tap on them. You will be redirected to a different screen where all the information will show up and will be distributed and graphed for a better comparison.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

This is terrible.  I don't want to touch on each tile as I quickly review past results.  Why would you change this?  Why would you have it reflect current day data on all past days, it makes no sense.  Please change it back

Hello @GY622, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I understand your position and concern about this situation. This was implemented in order for people to get a more detailed information about certain tiles such as sleep and calories; if  you've noticed, these screens include a way to make comparison between days so people can check their progress having all the data at hand.

I appreciate your feedback and I would like to encourage you to submit your insight as a suggested idea where members of the Community can vote for it and add their comments. This is the best way to make your voice heard.

Yes, I am still not sure I understand why it was changed and what it has helped? Everything that I check works the same other than not being able to go back days and check my hourly movement. This doesn't make much sense to me and if it did it before, why it can't again. I do not carry a laptop or even IPad with me during the day, just my phone so the app is important to me and what information it shows.

I have the same issue. I would also appreciate if you could advise of a fix. There should be a way we can update or sync our phone with our dashboard when connected to the computer by usb? Quite frustrating

Thanks
