Fitbit Calorie burn and MFP

HI, I have an issue with the calorie adjustment that is being imported from my Fit Bit Blaze. I am using an IPhone 7 and have the latest the updates. I have researched the issue and have found a lot of posts regarding the subject but I am very unclear if there is a fix or not. I have the Fitbit and MFP linked so that my exercise will be added to MFP and the calories burned will be deducted. That is the purpose correct? I have a desk job and choose sedentary for my activity level, the lowest there is> I work out twice a day and want the Calories burned from the fit bit to be added to MFP to increase my Calories for the day based on my activity level.

The issue for example if I burn 200 calories from Fitbit at 6:30 AM, for some reason MFP is adding 400 calories additional to my intake, twice what I actually burned. If I reviewed the Fitbit app which is syncing the food eaten for the day, the fit bit app gives me a much more arcuate overview analysis the calories used and remaining. I know you can unlink the accounts and add exercise manly in MFP but then my food log won’t be imported into fit bit.

How can I set up MFP to accurately import calories burned from Fitbit and not add in the extras calorie burn?

Hello @Robbo1466, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Are you recording the calories burned only through the Fitbit app or are you logging any kind of information on your MFP account as well?  If the calories burned are only being input on 1 app, please restart the link between Fitbit and MFP. This will refresh the information and will prevent the calories from duplicating.

I hope this can be helpful, if you need anything else feel free to reply. Smiley Happy

Marco.. yes i am only recording calorier burned on the fit bit.  The problem is that the fit bit imports into my fitness pal not jsut the calories i burned from excercise but some soer of negative calorie burn.  for example if i burn 200 calories from excercise, firt bit may exprot 400 caloreis burned into MFP. i am am getting misleading informaion regarding how many caloreies i have left for the day
