Fitbit Not Working

Of course google buys Fitbit and not long after a software update makes my Fitbit unresponsive. One that’s worked for years and showed no signs of issues- the app updates and now it will only show the Fitbit logo when it’s plugged in. Reset button on charger doesn’t do anything, have resynced, deleted and redownloaded app, let it fully die to recharge it. Nothing. I wonder if google owns competitors? Would be the only logical explanation for why such a gigantic company initiated such a horrible app update for a beloved product & app, and now also are having software bs show up “out of nowhere.” Thanks for nothing google, I would say I’m switching to a competitor but I’m sure you’ll be profiting off of that somehow.

Hi there, @kazcwezsM.

Thanks for the detailed information and every step that you've tried prior to posting. I'm sorry you're going through this situation. We value every feedback shared by our members as it helps us to work as well as improve our products, and yours won't be the exception.

To work on this together, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? I understand you've tried working on this, but please give a try to the following:

  1. Forget your Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings
  2. Check one more time if the Fitbit app is updated
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone
  4. Open the Fitbit app and tap Devices at the upper left corner
  5. Tap Add new devices, select your Fitbit device and follow the on-screen instructions
