First, my Fitbit One is still going strong after 13 years, amazing little device!
Issue: 17 months ago (Sept. 2024) a lot of had the same issue where daily steps stopped going into our history. I have still been getting weekly e-mails showing my daily steps. I have still been getting Vitality points when I meet step goals. Vitality changed something this year and I stopped getting points for days when I meet step goals. I contacted Google Support thinking it could be related to the step history issue. I am still getting weekly e-mails showing my daily steps. After several days of back and forth with them, their diagnosis is my One is malfunctioning and I need to get a new device. How the device is the issue when it connects to my phone and app and the data makes it to Google so they can send the weekly e-mail that shows my daily steps, I have no idea. I asked them to make it make sense and that is when they said my device is malfunctioning.
Solution: I reluctantly got a new device. It syncs to my phone and app and my data makes it to Google so they can send the weekly e-mail that shows my daily steps. I have historical steps since started using the new device. And Vitality is able to see the data too.
